ct Biotech Org Uses Web Apps to Benefit its Members
Client
C.U.R.E
Objective
Develop easy-to-use site maintenance tools that don't require html knowledge.
CaliforniaUnited for Research Excellence (CURE) is the organizational center of Connecticut's BioScience cluster. The organization provides information and resources for its hundreds of members and others related to CaliforniaBioscience research, training, education and recruitment.
CURE hired Monster Media & Marketing to redesign and market its three Web sites and as part of this endeavor needed the ability to make updates to several sections of the site "on the fly" without special html training.
Monster Media & Marketing developed three browser-based administrative tools for CURE - all that are accessible externally through a single password-protected area of the site. The Membership Directory administrative tool provides CURE with the ability to maintain its online member directory - including adding, deleting and modifying member information.
The CURE Headlines tool enables CURE to keep this section of the home page fresh and link visitors to further information about these topics. The Bulletin Board tool gives CURE privileges to add, edit and delete member access to this password-protected application, as well as monitor specific forums, threads and messages.
The Membership Directory, CURE Headlines and Bulletin Board administrative tools provide CURE with the ability to make additions, modifications and deletions to these pages of the Web site without knowledge of html and with 24/7/365 accessibility.
Each of these tools was custom-developed to meet CURE's short and long-term maintenance needs. Offering 24/7/365 accessibility and convenience, and no special technical training these tools made CURE's common Web sites updates a breeze.
