Statistics
Web site statistics
Through Monster Media & Marketing's Web site statistics program, you are able to view key marketing and technical data to help you evaluate and track the progress of your Web site and Web site marketing initiatives.

Accessing Your Statistics

  1. Your traffic statistics are accessible through your Web browser at the following address:
    http://stats.Monster Media & Marketingnet.com

  2. Once on this screen enter your Web site address (including the "www"). For example, www.Monster Media & Marketingnet.com.

  3. You will be prompted for a username and password. Enter the ones provided to you by your Monster Media & Marketing Account Manager.

  4. Upon successful entry you will see the first statistics screen ("Who's On").

General Information

  • This statistics program is only available to you on Monster Media & Marketing's server if we host your Web site and you are paying for this service.

  • This program displays the statistics for your Web site for the past 12 months that your site has been live and you have subscribed to this program.

  • The default date range for this program is the current week (beginning Sunday).

  • This program tracks individual "visitors" by their IP address (e.g., 63.123.456.789). Visitors can be actual people or computers (e.g., search engine crawlers). It is not possible to know the visitors' vital information (e.g., name, company, geographic location, etc.) through this tracking method.

  • Visitors' "geographic location" is determined by the geographic location of their Internet Service Provider (ISP). So, if a visitor is searching in Californiabut their ISP (such as AOL) is located in Virginia, they will be identified as traffic from Virginia.

General Usage Notes

  • The navigation "menu" for this program is located on the left side of your screen (blue background).

  • Use the [+] and [-] symbols to expand and contract the navigation choices.

  • Use the PRINT button at the top of the screen (not on your browser) to print the report on your screen.

  • Use the HELP button to address questions you may have regarding this program.

Selecting a Date Range

  • To select a date range expand the 'Date Selection' menu.

  • Select a display method:

    — Day: Click on the day you want using the calendar (use the 'Prev' and 'Next' buttons to move from month to month). That day will be highlighted in red.

    — Week: Select the first day (Sunday) of week you want (use the 'Prev' and 'Next' buttons to move from month to month). That week will be highlighted in red.

    — Month: Select the month you want using the 'Prev' and 'Next' buttons. That week will be highlighted in red.

    — Range: Up to 2 months of information can be viewed through this report. Click on the FIRST day of the range you wish (use the 'Prev' and 'Next' buttons to move from month to month). Then click on the LAST day of the range you wish (use the 'Prev' and 'Next' buttons to move from month to month). That date range will be highlighted in red.

  • If desired, change the range of items displayed for selected reports from the default (25) to one of the other choices (e.g., 10, 50, 100…). Keep in mind that the more items you choose to display the longer it will take to load on your computer. So - if you have a slower Internet connection it would be wise to maintain the default.

  • Click the Update Report button to "save" your date range requests.

The statistics program is very comprehensive but there are several reports that Monster Media & Marketing believes will be most useful to you.
